“Together”: from Amsterdam to Paris at the gallery La Cité
TOGETHER is a new artistic project designed by curator Valentina Moreno around ideas of community and unity. “Together: Amsterdam to Paris”—on view until May 4 at Galerie La Cité—is a group exhibition featuring 12 emerging and established artists from the Amsterdam scene, including Thomas Van Rijs, Stikstok, and Gilleam Trapenberg. The curatorial approach highlights sharing as much as artistic diversity. Each artist produced new works (photography, film, installation), which are displayed on the walls of the gallery created by Thomas Lélu. TOGETHER is a collective story, but it is also the expression of its curator’s personal journey. Amsterdam is the first chapter, but a wider series of exhibitions will promote cultural exchange and beautiful discoveries.
