The Mucem Pays Tribute to Hervé Di Rosa’s Work
Given complete creative freedom, the founder of Art Modeste, Hervé Di Rosa, has selected a series of works from the Mucem collections that appeal to his sensibility, and has created a new, complementary piece around each of them. An inventive and joyful itinerary was needed to present the beautiful and patient work of embedding the collections of the Mucem in the works of Hervé Di Rosa. Head Curator Vincent Giovannoni and artistic director Jean Seisser, a long-time collaborator of Hervé Di Rosa, have imagined the exhibition as an archipelago made up of some fifteen islets. Each island tells its own story, freely interpretable by the visitor. At the opening of this innovative exhibition featuring some sixty works by the artist, some of which were created for the show, we met Jean Seisser, Edward de Lumley, Cédric Jouve, Fabien Allot, Fabrice Manuel and Anne-Claudie Coric.
