Perrotin Paris Unveils Two New Exhibitions

In their space located at Impasse Saint-Claude, Perrotin Paris presents “Clear History”, a group show by 19 international artists. Curated by artist Oli Epp, the exhibit stages a visual conversation between digital erasure and material permanence. The term “Clear History” is part of a broader lexicon of web vernacular and evokes our daily digital rituals. Terms like “The Cloud”, “Hot Spot”, “Portal”, and “Window” conjure visions of ethereal lightness and technological transcendence. These words promise transparency and transformation, while “Clear” suggests both obstruction and transparency.“

“Business, Pleasure, Pressure, Release” is Nick Doyle’s second solo exhibition in Paris, and delves into the playground of white-collar existence: the office environment. The artist has long explored the perverse machinations and lurid fantasies of everyday American life. Through meticulously crafted vignettes of prosaic objects laden with strange melodramas and desperate longings, Doyle’s deadpan scenes tease at the gears of the machine that feeds us. During this joint opening, guests were able to enjoy Perrier Jouët’s sparkling drinks as well as cocktails by Robin le Textier and BAR PARIS, called Blood, Sweat, Tears. There, we met Nick Doyle, Oli Epp, Alison Jackson, Frank Brechter, Salomé Chatriot, Ally Rosenberg, Ben Spiers, Cornelia Baltes, Harrison Pierce, Sally Kindberg, Ry David Bradley, Christopher Hartmann, Simon Linke, Matthew Hansel, Marius Steiger, Maja Djordjevic, Xavier Veilhan, Iván Argote, Laurent Grasso, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Johan Creten, Mathilde Denize and Cristiane Pooley.
