On the eve of its opening to the public, a few thousand privileged were invited, last Tuesday, to discover the Gaité Lyrique in preview. For those who do not know it yet, it is the brand new Parisian place dedicated to digital cultures. For this evening event, I could Never Be a Dancer and United Visual Artists (UVA) scenographed part of the centre’s 10,000 m2 spaces. When the former staged 50 “robot” dancers in a half human- half binary sequence, the latter proposed luminous installations, to look closely. No bugs, just bubbles.
