The Villa Noailles opens the 5th edition of Design Parade Toulon
The 5th edition of Design Parade Toulon was launched officially on June 24th by the Villa Noailles. This year, the Hyères-based institution entrusted the jury presidency to the duo of architects Karl Fournier and Olivier Marty, founders of Studio KO. One day before the opening of Design Parade Hyères (dedicated to design), the festival honored the new guard of international architecture & interior design. The 10 finalists, most of them former students of major institutions such as the École Camondo, presented a living room on the theme of the Mediterranean Sea at the city’s Ancien Évêché. The guests of Jean-Pierre Blanc and Pascale Mussard, including Camélia Jordana, Pierre Banchereau (Debeaulieu) or Gregory Granados, winner of the Design Parade Hyères Grand Prize in 2019, got to discover the exhibition before it opened to the public. This year’s edition of the festival opens alongside “Futurissimo, The Utopia of Italian design”, a new exhibition at the Hotel des Arts. Resulting from a partnership between the Centre Pompidou, the city of Toulon and the Villa Noailles, the exhibition presents a selection of the museum’s design collections.
