Design Miami/ Paris Spreads Its Wings Across the French Capital
Just a few days ago, the prestigious design fair launched its very first edition in Paris. While the magnificent hôtel de Maisons is the main temporary residence of Design Miami Paris, the fair stretches over the entirety of the French capital during the whole week. On Wednesday 18th, one of the programme’s off-site itineraries included Jean-Paul Beaujard’s home, where the Burgundy-born antique dealer hosted an intimate afternoon tea. Nestled in the top two floors of a six-story 1910 Art Nouveau building in the 7th arrondissement, this magnificent apartment and the precious objects it treasures reflect Jean-Paul Beaujard’s passion for antiques, which he began dealing with at the early age of 14. The visit was followed by dinner at the Palais Galliera, also known as the Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris. This magnificent venue, which typifies the “Beaux-Arts” style, provided the perfect framework for an elegant evening, marked by the speech from Jen Roberts, CEO of Design Miami Paris. We had the pleasure of meeting Harry Nuriev, Jean-Paul Beaujard, Chris Dercon, Sarah Andelman, Craig Robins, Charlotte Ketabi, and Paul Bourdet, to name but a few.
