That between BMW and art is a long-standing love affair, whose latest proof has just been released at the Frieze art fair in Los Angeles. This time it was South African artist Esther Mahlangu who, serving herself with ELnk technology, brings to life her colourful, geometric shapes in a tribute to African culture. A series of semiconductors powered by the car’s battery animate the motifs, transforming the vehicle into an itinerant artwork. The piece is reminiscent of a first creation done on another BMW in 1991, and named after his son Nostokana. We are rolling on art!
