The Renzo Piano Building Workshop Agency Celebrates its 40th Anniversary at the Centre Pompidou

Founder of one of the world’s most renowned architectural agencies, Renzo Piano is back to the Centre Pompidou, a building that marked a special chapter in its history. Since then, he has expanded his activities all around the world.

The international architecture firm RPBW (Renzo Piano Building Workshop) celebrated its 40th anniversary last night at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. During a cocktail party, the agency commemorated four decades of emblematic projects, over 150 of which are international. It was also an opportunity to celebrate the recent completion of several major projects, including the Istanbul Modern Museum in Istanbul, the Fubon Tower and Fubon Art Museum in Taipei, the Children’s Hospice in Bologna, the Torre Piloti in Genoa, Paddington Square in London, the Pathé Palace in Paris and the Mareterra residence in Monaco. These projects reflect the diversity of the typologies tackled by the agency since its creation, with one common feature: a strong civic focus, which puts architecture at the service of societies and communities.

During the festivities, we met Laurent Le Bon, Yann Arthus Bertrand, Jérôme Seydoux and many others.
