“At a time when the world of luxury is increasingly taking over art and design, it was time to think of an edible sculpture accessible to the greatest number of people”. A few days before FIAC, Galerie Papillon opened an exhibition of a different kind. First because it was only on display on October 6 and for it was the result of a purely democratic will. This is a project by French artist Mathieu Mercier in association with the “prince of pasta” and founder of Al Dente agency, Patrizio Miceli. “Pasta Utopia” is an exhibition that gives artists the freedom to “think about the aesthetics of a new pasta”. Among them, Saâdane Afif, Elvire Bonduelle, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Olivier Mosset or Robert Stadler (to name but a few) have all taken advantage of this dinner go-to to bring it into their artistic worlds. To celebrate the exhibition’s opening, Mathieu Mercier and Marion Papillon invited artists and friends on October 5th to the best kind of party you could think of, that is a “pasta party” of course! Bon appétit!
