The second half of 2017 promises to be rich in exceptional appointments at Artcurial. The auction house of the Rond-Point des Champs-Elysées organized during the Paris Biennale the exhibition of its upcoming sales over the coming months. In its lounges meet Charlotte Perriand’s pieces, Camille Claudel’s sculptures or Renoir and Van Gogh’s paintings, some representatives of the house’s twenty-five specialties. On 26 September, “Éloge du symbolisme” will mark the start of sales with a selection of 130 paintings by French and Belgian masters such as Maurice Chabas, Carlos Schwabe and Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer. In October, Artcurial will honour the private collection of Paul Lombard, great friend of César, owner of works by Picasso, Chagall or Fernand Léger. For the guests present at the inauguration, from François Tajan to Alexis Mabille, the opportunity to immerse themselves in this eclectic and exceptional selection, inside as well as in the courtyard where Mercedes-Benz vintage cars await at rest around a monumental Egyptian sphinx.
