Ruinart invites Alexandre Benjamin Navet for a colorful collaboration
French artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet, winner of the 2017 Design Parade Toulon Architecture Grand Prize and known for his colorful pencil stroke, has turned his recent collaboration with the House of Ruinart into a true ode to taste. The result of a meeting with Cellar Master Frédéric Panaiotis and the dialogue between the two enthusiasts, this collaboration considers Champagne tasting as a true chromatic experience. Ruinart is used to inviting internationally renowned artists to reinterpret its heritage. Last year, David Shrigley transformed a secret room at the Opéra Bastille into a tribute to his experience in the House’s chalk pits in Reims. Today, however, Alexandre Benjamin Navet is the first artist to apply his colors to the second skin case of four emblematic vintages, each one edited in 100 copies. An eco-designed case made of 100% recyclable cellulose fiber, and the result of a long development process initiated by the House that aims to reinforce its commitment to sustainable development. The first collaboration of this kind, the collection is available exclusively at La Grande Épicerie de Paris from June 7 to July 7. Each week, a particular bottle will be put on display in the window of La Grande Épicerie Rive Gauche with a scenography designed by Alexandre Benjamin Navet. For the launch of the collection, Ruinart invited a handful of guests (including Pierre Marie, Lorena Vergani and Emily Marant) to an intimate lunch at LA TABLE, the restaurant of La Grande Épicerie Rive Gauche – with for the occasion a special menu customized by the artist…
