Classy yet sensual, imbued with cabaret codes, and utterly dramatic. The Weinsanto woman does not belong in one single box, as she embodies a blend as diverse and original as the different figures inspiring the young French designer. Entitled “Lady de Weinsanto”, this collection Autumn-Winter 24/25 stays true to its signature style – quintessentially theatrical – yet nuanced with sober undertones.

This year’s Sidaction annual dinner celebrates another successful campaign, raising over 750,000 euros. As Haute Couture Week drew to a close, the event was an excellent opportunity for the film and fashion industries to come together and support a cause that is unfortunately still a very real matter today. Although research and treatments have seen remarkable progress, there is still a considerable amount of work to be done before the complete defeat of this disease and the development of a vaccine. The evening’s guests included Mélanie Laurent, Isabelle Huppert, Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Alexandre Mattiussi, Lou Doillon, Eddy de Pretto, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Babeth Djian, Jean-Claude Jitrois, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Thomas Roussel and Sarah Andelman.

To launch his very first collection featuring feminine silhouettes, Louis Gabriel Nouchi has re-read Bel Ami. This novel by Maupassant explores the emotions and turmoils of the bourgeoisie through the eyes of an ambitious young man and his corrupt rise in society. The fashion designer has drawn inspiration from this narrative to create a chic and contemporary collection, masterfully executed with the finest materials in a dark colour palette. Given how money plays a central role in the novel, the silver and gold shades reveal themselves as a clear reference, casting a glowing light across the entire collection. On the occasion of the Musée du Louvre’s Night of Grandeur, Lancôme co-hosted a gala dinner to celebrate their shared vision, Beauty Is A Living Art. This night at the museum was an invitation to engage in a dialogue between Art and Beauty, while also marking an unprecedented collaboration between the two French cultural powerhouses. By offering an exploration of the Louvre through its most emblematic works, Lancôme brings together different eras and cultures, inviting women to find their terrain of expression, thus showcasing the endless creative potential of Beauty. The Lancôme x Louvre collaboration carries a feminist statement at its core: each of the statues, standing as heroines alongside the muses inspiring the campaign, embodies Lancôme’s declaration of commitment, independence and self-confidence. We had the pleasure of meeting Amanda Seyfried, Isabella Rossellini, Penélope Cruz, Aya Nakamura, Emma Chamberlain, Chiara Ferragni, as well as Lancôme’s Creative Director of Make-up, and Sheika Daley, Lancôme’s Global Make-up Artist, among many other friends of the Maison.

Casablanca has just unveiled its latest collection, “Venus as a Boy”, which draws inspiration from Ancient Greece. Borrowed from a Björk song, the title evokes a reinterpretation of Venus, herself a Roman reinvention of Aphrodite. This blend of classical beauty and modernity embodies a shared philosophy, that is, an exploration of the links between past and present. By focusing on ancient Greece, the collection transcends the mere reproduction of the past to embody a timeless sense of elegance.

Shall the Matrix saga ever see a new sequel, the costume design team will have half the work done, for Avellano’s latest collection may well be that making Trinity’s wardrobe. This Autumn-Winter 24/25 season, the French designer demonstrates once again his mastery of the unusual material that made him famous, that is, latex.

The Fashion Show was opened by Avellano’s muse, Noah Cyrus, who had the honour of unveiling the collection’s novelties: bomber jackets (the very first ones for Avellano) and the olive-green shades that would contrast a predominantly black colour palette. When something works, it’s better to stick with it. Avellano seems to know the premise, as his signature pieces, such as the long coats and mermaid dresses, made the core of the collection, revisited in a more street-style vein. These sensual and fluid pieces are chaperoned by the imposing volumes of some new creations, such as puffer jackets.
