Louis Gabriel Nouchi’s Romanticism
To launch his very first collection featuring feminine silhouettes, Louis Gabriel Nouchi has re-read Bel Ami. This novel by Maupassant explores the emotions and turmoils of the bourgeoisie through the eyes of an ambitious young man and his corrupt rise in society. The fashion designer has drawn inspiration from this narrative to create a chic and contemporary collection, masterfully executed with the finest materials in a dark colour palette. Given how money plays a central role in the novel, the silver and gold shades reveal themselves as a clear reference, casting a glowing light across the entire collection. On the front row of this eagerly awaited show we spotted La Grande Dame, Julien Sebbag, Piu Piu, Sofiane Pamart, Julien Granel, Aimé Simone, Yugnat, and Maeva Giani Marshall, to name but a few.
