Asah Studio x Meliá Hotels, a Deluxe Hotel in the Heart of Milan

Blue ribbon in the world of Milanese hospitality. Meliá Hotels International opens Gran Meliá in the heart of one of the most charming locations in the Lombard capital: Piazza Cordusio. Located within the historic Palazzo Venezia, a gem in the Generali heritage and the central headquarters of the company for over a century, the interior design, a result of the exclusive collaboration between Meliá and the Asah Studio by Alvaro and Adriana Sans, has given life to 84 rooms and suites while preserving the structural parts and binding elements. Many of the rooms boast large windows, and in some cases, private balconies, offering breathtaking views of iconic places such as the Sforza Castle, Via Orefici, Via dei Mercanti, and the Cathedral. The Asah Studio, renowned for its sophisticated and contemporary approach, has literally shaped the hotel’s aesthetics down to the details. The rooms and suites, as well as some walls in the corridors, have been enriched with fabrics signed by Rubelli, while the furnishings include pieces from the most prestigious Italian brands such as Molteni, Cassina, Fornasetti, Flos, Oluce, and Foscarini. The culinary offering is equally enticing, with four original concepts in the Milanese gastronomic scene: Gioia Pasticceria, Giardino Cordusio, Isola Restaurant, and SACHI. In short, Gran Meliá at Palazzo Cordusio promises a perfect blend of luxury, design, and first-class hospitality. By Germano D’Acquisto.
