Laura Gonzalez x Casa Monti, a New Jewel Hotel Blooms in Rome

The new Casa Monti hotel designed by designer Laura Gonzalez is born in Rome. The baptism should take place in spring in the suggestive via Panisperna, one of the most iconic streets of the capital. A magical artery, capable of crossing three hills –  the Quirinale, the Viminale and the Esquiline – with extreme ease, without ever appearing intrusive or noisy. The project, commissioned by the French family-run group Leitmotiv, will be a real homage to the Monti district, one of the most evocative in the whole city thanks to the continuous succession of antique shops, clubs, bars, art galleries, niche boutiques . The five-star hotel will have 26 rooms and 10 suites (ranging in size from 20 to 55 m2), a restaurant with a terrace on the first floor, a cocktail bar, a patio and a Spa with a breathtaking rooftop overlooking the roofs most magical in the world. To give soul to the interiors, Gonzalez, who trained at the Ecole d’Architecture of Paris-Malaquais, was inspired by the bohemian atmospheres of the artistic residences of the past and the dolce vita, infusing the rooms with a relaxed, casual and decidedly pleasant atmosphere. Queen of colour, the designer  opted for a dynamic approach by drawing on different references and mixing unexpected genres. Result: unique and never unnatural interiors in a riot of mix and match.
