Moncler launches Moncler Maya 70 by Palm Angels

As a celebration for Moncler’s 70th anniversary, CEO Remo Ruffini launches the Moncler Maya 70 collaborations: a project that consists of seven reinterpretations of the iconic Maya jacket by seven key designers. Kicked off by Francesco Ragazzi with the Moncler Maya 70 by Palms Angels, the collaboration is to be released on October 15. Other designers involved in the project and thus working on their own version of the famous duvet jacket are Thom Browne, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Rick Owens, Giambattista Valli, Pierpaolo Piccioli and Pharrell. Ragazzi’s jacket features the Palm Angels logo on the back and the 8 Moncler Palm Angels felt on the front. It is also covered with fiber optic lighting.

« I never stop thinking about the future. It is fascinating to imagine it and to, somehow, anticipate what is to come. This was my core inspiration for the project; which to me meant a lot more than a down jacket. When you turn it on, it becomes an actual source of light » Francesco Ragazzi explained. The designer has chosen Elsa Hosk as the main protagonist for his new campaign : « I think Elsa perfectly embodies this idea of future and light, she is the perfect embodiment for my vision for Moncler ».
