Reflection : Valérie Belin at Galerie Nathalie Obadia
“The window is the place of overlay or an accumulation of two images: that of the interior and that of the exterior.” Since the 1990s, the artist-photographer Valérie Belin has been interested in shop windows and storefronts in Manhattan and other cities in New York State. Since last October 22nd, and until August 31st, 2020, the French photographer presents a solo exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Eleven of her new works presented as part of this exhibition make up her “Reflection” series, gathered today in a solo show presented at the Galerie Nathalie Obadia in Paris until April 4th. This week, the gallery invited friends, specialists and professionals from the contemporary art world to discover the exhibition in its space in the Cloister Saint-Merri.
