The Al Thani Collection is Celebrated with an Exceptional Dinner at the Hôtel de la Marine
On March 4th, the Hôtel de la Marine hosted a prestigious dinner to celebrate the opening of the exhibition “A Taste for the Renaissance: a dialogue between collections”. His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani, Special Cultural Advisor to the Al Thani Collection Foundation, presided over the event, alongside Marie Lavandier, President of the Centre des Monuments Nationaux, and Tristram Hunt, Director of London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Featuring a selection of masterpieces from the Victoria and Albert Museum collections and The Al Thani Collection, the exhibition highlights the complex interconnections of the Renaissance world, a golden age of exploration and discovery which witnessed an exchange of materials and ideas across Europe and distant lands. Organised by The Al Thani Collection Foundation and the Centre des Monuments Nationaux in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum, “A Taste of the Renaissance: a dialogue between collections” is on show at The Al Thani Collection, at the Hôtel de la Marine until June 30th.
