Therapeutic sketches by Géraldine Beigbeder at the Key Gallery
“Noise Factory Sketches” is the exhibition of all-round artist Geraldine Beigbeder at the Key Gallery. Newly opened in January, this young gallery shows visionary artists, in step with their time, and with innovative approaches.
If Géraldine Beigbeder’s name sounds familiar, it is because we already know her cousin, Frédéric Beigbeder, well for his novels and films. Géraldine also felt the need to write, and drew on words to deliver a prolific series of sketches that she accumulated in her notebooks. A mix of influences that reveals his instinctive approach to artistic creation.
An outlet of assumed therapeutic value, his sketches reveal the anguish of existence through their raw, irreversible aesthetics. The opening took place between the gallery’s mezzanine and basement spaces, to the sound of acoustic concerts by Patrick Eudeline and Thomas Baignères. The guests could even leave with a Polaroid signed by the artist for any purchase of a work. To discover until February 25, 2017.
