JR Unveils “Outposts”, the Inaugural Exhibition of Perrotin London
This year, Perrotin further consolidates its international presence with the opening of its very first exhibition space in London. Located on Brook’s Mews, next to Claridge’s ArtSpace Café, the gallery places itself in one of the most iconic spots of Mayfair. For the inauguration, French artist JR has imagined “Outposts“, an exhibition featuring fifteen works from the “Déplacé-e-s” and “Les Enfants d’Ouranos” series, as well as behind-the-scenes videos. Launched in 2022, the “Déplacé-e-s” series highlights refugee children from around the world, including Ukraine, Mauritania, Greece, Rwanda, and Colombia.
The opening took place this Thursday, March 13th, and was followed by a dinner at Sucre restaurant, where we met JR, Jamie Oliver, Ibeyi, Thomas Heatherwick, Peggy Gou, Mira Mikati, Sacha Baron-Cohen, Katia St. Hilaire, among others.
