The regulars know it, the Bal Jaune orchestrated by the Fondation d’entreprise Ricard et Beaux Arts Magazine is a must of the FIAC marathon week. If last year, Colette Barbier and Fabrice Bousteau had offered their guests a “colourful” party (in the presence of Scarlett Johansson!), this year the invitation card mentioned an enigmatic “elastic” dress code. A concept that is best understood once you pass through the door of the Palais Brongniart on Friday 20 October – unless, of course, you arrived after midnight. Interwoven in the columns of the Palais de la Bourse, large sections of fabric (blue, yellow, green) give the impression of having set foot in a giant string game – a flashback to this childhood game by artist Jonathan Binet. Of course, the happy guests at the dinner that preceded the evening had all the leisure to discover the colourful scenography before anyone else. And there were people that night. Nevertheless, we could see in the crowd some familiar faces like Sophie Calle (who celebrated a few days earlier the opening of her exhibition at the Museum of Hunting and Nature) or the choreographer Blanca Li visibly very comfortable on the huge airbags scattered in the huge room. Rare evening of the week of art where reigns a good child general atmosphere, the party saw to succeed on stage the talents Silver Spoon, the duo Jaffna and Irène Dresel, supported by the action of cultural patronage of the company Ricard, Ricard S.A Live Music. A whole program !
