The Peninsula Paris welcomes photographer Michael Halsband
Today, The Peninsula Hotels is one of the great names in the global luxury hotel field. The group’s history traces back to 1988 in New York, just thirty years ago. To celebrate this anniversary, The Peninsula New York put together a set of thirty unique experiences for its clients, including an exceptional exhibition of the major artists who marked the 1980s – Andy Warhol, Francesco Clemente, Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Barbara Kruger and Michael Halsband. The latter’s work was also presented at the The Peninsula Paris hotel in conjunction with the dates of Paris Photo. For the occasion, the photographer held an exclusive conference during which he gave an exclusive insight into his acquaintance with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol, whom he met when he shot a series of three double portraits in 1985 which could be seen at The Peninsula New York.
