The Modigliani Cocktail by Les Amis des Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie
To celebrate this new exhibition devoted to Modigliani and his relationship with his friend and dealer Paul Guillaume, the Société des Amis des musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie organised its third annual cocktail party at the Musée de l’Orangerie. The funds raised thanks to the patrons’ donations will be destined to acquire a new artwork to enter the Musée de l’Orangerie collections.
The exhibition retraces one of the most emblematic moments in the artist’s life, almost a century after his encounter with Paul Guillaume back in 1914.
On November 7, Claire Bernardi, Director of the Musée de l’Orangerie, and Jean Louis Milin, President of the Société des Amis des Musées d’Orsay et de l’Orangerie, welcomed guests to the celebratory cocktail. During the evening, Claire Bernardi officially announced the donation of the Albums dits by Paul Guillaume, produced by Marc and Sébastien Blondeau through the Friends of the Musée d’Orsay and the Musée de l’Orangerie.
