The Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs Opens its Doors

The Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs is a destination in itself, both for Parisians looking for a retreat within the city and for tourists. Ideally located in the Saint-Placide district, on the quiet Rue de Vaugirard, this new address from the EQ Hotels group promises an experience steeped in the charm of the golden age of travel. Chic and cosy, with retro touches of the 30s and 40s, Fabrizio Casiraghi, the Italian architect behind the project, has combined the theatrical and the everyday with elegance. At the heart of the hôtel, Chef Jeremy Lude takes us on a journey with a menu in the grand tradition of transatlantic liners, paying tribute to the passionate relationship between Paris and New York.

The inaugural evening, held on Wednesday 6th of December, was also in the spirit of travel and discovery, which is indeed, the hallmark of the hotel. Room by room, guests were able to discover the hotel in a variety of settings. From the piano bar to the more secluded room where a mentalist gave readings, from the cocktails served by a barman in a bathrobe to the green light of the Poppy bar for techno lovers, where DJ sets came to life, the Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs won over all its visitors. We met Nathanael Koffi, Vincent Garnier Pressiat, Gaël Fickou, Vincent Lacoste, Maxime Sokolinski and many others.
