The Delicacy of Giambattista Valli

On March 1st, Italian fashion master Giambattista Valli graced the Gare des Invalides with a graceful brightness with his Autumn-Winter 2024 collection. Following his exploration of Spring-like lightness during Haute Couture, Valli delivers a delicate yet sophisticated vision of femininity inspired by the iconic Lee Radziwill.

The pastel palette, dominated by baby-doll hues, transported guests into a soft and refined universe, populated by wise and feminine silhouettes. The collection also paid tribute to Jackie Kennedy’s younger sister, muse and friend of the fashion designer. The pieces evoke the timeless elegance of her inspirations, which defined the second half of the twentieth century with their flamboyant outfits. Bright splashes of colour warmed up the atmosphere, which we find in flouncy dresses in mustard yellow and poppy red tweed ensembles, which added a pop-like touch to the collection.

The setting was clear and uncluttered, with rough concrete floors and XXL ball lamps as the backdrop for the sixty silhouettes running the catwalk. Guests in attendance included Anna Dello Russo, Lara Cosima, Ashley Park, Heart Evangelista, Olivia Ruiz, Jordanna Maia and Tyrone Dylan Susman.
