Last Friday evening at the Hôtel Salomon in Rothschild, the must-attend yellow ball orchestrated by the Fondation d’ entreprise Ricard and Beaux-Arts magazine was played “extra bariolé” in homage to the festive popular culture embodied by the creations of contemporary artists: art, music and fashion without forgetting gastronomy. Invaded with garlands of light and multicoloured balloons, this festive high place with its New Empire architecture has been transformed into a popular ball totally reinterpreted. In the courtyard and gardens, the “colourful” guests evolved amidst installations by Neil Beloufa, Pierre Ardouvin (who else?), Mathieu Mercier and Veit Stratmann, inspired by the joyful universe of the fairgrounds. The best line-up of the FIAC week (Jacques, Salut c’ est cool, Greg Kozo, Michael Mayer) is not the only reason for the presence of contemporary All-Art, since the evening is also an opportunity to reveal the winner of the Ricard Foundation Award, awarded this year to Clément Cogitore for having been the most representative artist of the young French artistic scene in 2016, as part of the exhibition “Paris” proposed by Isabelle Cornaro.
