This is a birthday party everyone is going to remember. On June 28, Suzanne Tarasieve celebrated the 40th anniversary of her gallery in good and due form. For the occasion, the emblematic Parisian gallery owner invited all her friends to gather at Loft 19, her 19th arrondissement space. On the program, an exhibition of Suzanne Tarasieve’s personal archive photos, a sort of fresco inviting all guests to go back in time and relive the gallery’s best moments. As soon as they arrived, the guests were invited contribute to a participatory painting. A tombola organized in benefit of Institut Pasteur, gave the opportunity to gather funds for research and to win small original works by the gallery’s artists. Many of them were present: Romain Bernini, Eva Jospin, Alkis Boutlis, Boris Mikhailov, or Juergen Teller – whose exhibition in the gallery was put under the spotlight last January. Known for her spontaneous way, Suzanne Tarasieve wore a long white dress decorated with large feathers. She truly was the star of this joyous celebration and even climbed the tables for a symbolic balloon release. At 10 pm, the cake arrived to the sound of music and the evening ended in the best way: with everyone dancing.
