A few hours before the launch of the 45th edition of FIAC, Palais d’Iéna presented a new exhibition called “Suspension” in its monumental spaces. Curated by Matthieu Poirier, the exhibition retraces a century of abstract sculpture from the perspective of suspension. More than fifty works from 33 artists (from 15 countries) are presented in this exhibition which sees the emergence of an unprecedented dialogue between the Palais’ architecture and the abstraction of the sculptures. A FIAC and Frieze London project, the exhibition is produced in partnership with the Olivier Malingue gallery. Among personalities presents that night, artists Carlos Cruz-Diez, Julio Le Parc or Xavier Veilhan, as well as Charles Carmignac or Fabrice Bousteau.
