Missing the Jacquemus show for the ETAM show is in itself a fashion statement. Or not, since the lingerie giant and the young generation of French design are not fighting on equal terms to attract the journalist barge. When some build their catwalk of bric and brocs to present their wonders to the world, the others – ETAM thus – pay themselves a pharaonic show to the line-up sexier than a dress Anthony Vaccarello. And the brand’s ultimate bomb, of course, is Natalia Vodianova, who for three years now has signed an eponymous line with Couture accents.
After the Motown and its inexhaustible soul sisters, Mark Ronson has concocted this season a 100% girly concert to accompany said show: Lykke Li, Rita Ora, Lily Allen, Selah Sue and M.I.A. One song each, except M.I.A. who will gratify the final of his evil Paper Plan.
From the assembly perched on about ten floors of bleachers, a small hundred V.I.P. then found themselves at the LIPP, then in Montana for the afterparty set to music by Jamie Hince. It is clear, Etam is not in the lace. Oh, yes. B.B.
