Seizing the Sun at Hangar Y
It sets the tempo for our days and seasons, enveloping us warmly on the coolest days. And yet, our beloved Sun, a vital star for human life, remains as enigmatic as it is fascinating. In the spirit of shedding light on the many facets of this celestial body, Hangar Y presents “Seizing the Sun”. This new immersive exhibition, which will take over the former airship hangar from 16 December 2023 to 21 April 2024, brings together works by nearly 40 French and international artists. Each of them delivers a unique exploration of this charming star, revealing not only its inspiring and life-giving side, but also its mighty force and potential dangers. From photography and performance to sculpture and writing, the works on display bathe Hangar Y in an ethereal sunshine.
On the opening evening, we had the pleasure of meeting Hangar Y’s artistic director, Aurélie Baron, alongside artists like Massao Mascaro, Anne Lindberg, Guillaume Aubry, Erwan Frotin, Clara de Tezanos, Ludmila Rodrigues, Mike Rijnierse and many others.
