Sarah Andelman’s Cool Culture at Sotheby’s
“Attention, Fragile!” is the latest exhibition curated by Sarah Andelman in the new Salon Sotheby’s, the latest hotspot for luxury and culture in Paris.
Last night, on the 1st floor of the new flagship store at 83 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the founder of the JUST AN IDEA agency, presented exclusive items and contemporary artworks celebrating skate culture.
Known for combining fashion, art and design through inspiring narratives, Sarah Andelman unveils a selection ranging from jewellery, watches and handbags to contemporary art (Andy Picci, Inès Mélia, Katerina Jebb, PZ), handmade glass creations (Jonathan Hansen, Maison Balzac, Sophie Lou Jacobsen, Agustina Bottoni, Massimo Lunardon x Sam Baron, Helle Mardahl … ), day-to-day designer objects (Gohar World, Eleonor Boström …) and delicatessen (La Cavalerie, Sant Ambroeus, Palomas …).
A little further away, to promote the release of the book Skateboard Culture, vintage skates are displayed by decades, from the 80s to today, right beside an installation by Raphaël Zarka, photographs by Fred Mortagne and skateboards decorated by artists and curated by The Skateroom.
An opportunity to bring together a cool urban culture and a veritable art market institution.
At the opening, we met Pedro Winter, Thomas Roussel, Aline Asmar d’Amman, Dan Thawley, among others.
