A New Sankuanz Era
Black Widow. Here’s the joyful name of Shangguan Zhe’s new Sankuanz collection. A rather dark prelude for a collection that actually seemed softer than its predecessors. Perhaps not as punk, as the Chinese brand continues to meander between streetwear and couture. Thus, more feminine silhouettes, long skirts, draping, vinyl boots and sleek pumps contrasted with graffiti prints, oversize sneakers and 70s-style bags. And fewer studs. Is Sankuanz turning over a new leaf, or is it simply following society as it oscillates between chic and realism?
