Approche 2022: Carte Blanche for Experimental Photography
A ppr oc he, the independent boutique fair devoted to experimental photography has launched its 6th edition. Taking place simultaneously with Paris Photo and officially opening its doors on November 10, this new edition of the Salon A ppr oc he delivers an outstanding selection of works that challenge preconceived notions on the medium. Founded in 2017 by Emilia Genuardi with the aim of promoting cutting-edge photography, many works make us wonder, is that really a photograph? and if so, how is it done?
This 6th edition has reunited 14 artists and a duo from all over the world, proof of the international appeal and great diversity of the salon. Each of these talented artists explores the medium in a unique and distinctive manner: some use more traditional techniques reminiscent of the very origins of photography, while others propose very avant-garde and mixed-media pieces that blur the boundaries between visual arts, photography, and even installation art.
