New Colours for the Musée National Picasso-Paris Under Paul Smith’s Direction

This coming April 8 will mark the 50th anniversary of Pablo Picasso’s death. To commemorate the occasion and celebrate the work and artistic legacy of the Spanish artist, the Musée national Picasso-Paris has arranged an exceptional collaboration with British designer Sir Paul Smith. Renowned for his colourful and eccentric works, Smith was invited to be the artistic director and curator of the re-hanging of the museum’s permanent collection. It is thus encompassed by the singular mise-en-scène of the designer that Picasso’s masterpieces will be exhibited. A very intuitive and immersive staging that seamlessly blends not only the universes of both artists but also incorporates pieces from contemporary international artists such as Guillermo Kuitca, Obi Okigbo or Chéri Samba. A collaboration that blurs boundaries and conventions and will certainly delight the young audience!
