Puiforcat organizes a private visit of “Moderne Maharajah” at MAD Paris

The Musée des Arts Décoratifs (MAD) is celebrating the Maharajah of Indore until January 12th with the exhibition “Moderne Maharajah.” This avant-garde personality is behind the modernist construction of his country: the Manik Bagh Palace. The exhibition offers an exclusive immersion into the world of this legendary building, witnessing the exchanges between India and Europe and the Maharajah’s unique vision of art and decoration. Its heritage includes nearly 500 pieces, brought together for the first time in one place with creations by Louis Sognot, Eileen Gray, Le Corbusier, Charlotte Alix and Jean Puiforcat. Puiforcat invited his relatives, Parisian cultural personalities and journalists to a private visit of the exhibition, the perfect opportunity for a glimpse up close of this exceptional exhibit staged by the BGC studio – Giovanna Comana and Iva Berton Gajsak.
