“Infiltrées – 5 manières d’habiter le monde”, the Exhibition of the Reiffers Art Initiatives Prize 2023
For the second edition of its annual prize, Reiffers Art Initiatives inaugurates the exhibition “Infiltrées – 5 manières d’habiter le monde” in its space at the Acacias Art Center. This year, the Prize exhibition brings together the work of Meriem Bennani, Han Bing, Bianca Bondi, Binta Diaw and Ser Serpas, five emerging artists from four different continents. Created by President of Mazarine and founder of Reiffers Art Initiatives, Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers, this award aims at promoting contemporary and young creation, as well as cultural diversity. The exhibition confronts viewers with pieces of fluid, ever-changing forms which penetrate the walls, floors and heights of the space, thus establishing a singular type of relationship with their surroundings. In fact, all five artists share this wish to confront our present world and aim at exposing, deconstructing, and metamorphosing it through their works. Not satisfied with merely accepting their surroundings, these artists strive to aesthetically and conceptually transform them by proposing alternative scenarios and imagined realities. The winning artist of this edition will be announced at the beginning of June, being then awarded the Prize by the members of the artistic committee, which include Benjamin Millepied, Marie-Cécile Zinsou, Ludovic Delalande, and Thibaut Wychowanok. During the exhibition opening, we meet Antoine Arnault, Jérôme Sans, Victoire de Castellane, Kenny Dunkan and Jean-Baptiste Mondino, among other personalities.
