Figaret’s “Passion du Style” Dinner Gathers Literature Enthusiasts

For its 5th edition, Figaret’s “Passion du Style” dinner welcomed François-Henri Désérable, winner of the Grand Prix du Roman by the Académie française, who paid tribute to travel writer Nicolas Bouvier. As everyone has just returned from their holidays, evoking the still-fresh memories of the summer break is the order of the day. Those from François-Henri Désérable were tinged by the darkness of “L’usure d’un monde”, his travel diary of Iran in which, following the steps of his “mentor in adventure and literature” Nicolas Bouvier, Désérable seizes the reality of a country that is murdering its youth and closing itself off in a world of terror. These literary dinners were an idea by Eléonore Baudry, President of Figaret and an avid reader herself, an initiative that offers all guests the opportunity to share their own literary passions. Gathered around a chic table, listening to the “clerk of the Iranians’ courage”, we saw Ariane Massenet, Nicolas Carreau, Bernard de la Villardière, Jean Spiri, Camille Giletta de Saint-Joseph, Alexandra Palt, Pascal Monfort, Emilie Metge, Amayès Aouli, Lisa Vignoli, Sophie Salager and Eric Laplantif engaging in their erudite discussions.
