Design Parade Toulon and Design Parade Hyères To Unveil Their Juries

After the International Fashion, Photography and Accessories Festival – Hyères, it is now the turn of the Design Parade festival to take over the Villa Noailles and the city of Toulon. Founded by Jean-Pierre Blanc and presided over by Pascale Mussard, the festival takes place in two parts: the first part focuses on interior architecture in Toulon, the second part, dedicated to design, takes place in Hyères.

On Thursday, the team invited the press, partners and sponsors to the 19M, in the 19th arrondissement, to attend the press conference unveiling the names of the juries. The interior design part of the competition will be chaired by Culture in Architecture founder Aline Asmar d’Amman. She, along with the other 10 members of the jury, will have the task of accompanying this year’s finalists. As every year, laureates will be invited to design an original scenography inside the former bishop’s palace (Ancien Evêché), an old mansion typical of the Var region. The winners will compete for three separate prizes: the Grand Prix du Jury Design Parade Toulon Van Cleef & Arpels, the Prix Visual Merchandising awarded by Chanel and the Prix Mobilier National.

The Design Parade Hyères has entrusted French designer Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance with the presidency of the jury. The finalists will exhibit their work at the Villa Noailles while competing for both the Grand Prix du Jury Design Parade Hyères and the Tectona Prize.

Every year since its creation in 2006, the Design Parade is an opportunity to discover emerging talents of the two disciples, a moment to highlight the craftsmanship of the Var region, and to bring the national collections of the Centre Pompidou to Toulon. See you next June!
