Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance

Based in Lisbon since 2017, Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance is the founder of the Made in Situ project, a unique collection that is an exploration of Portuguese craftsmanship. Presented at the Design Parade, these pieces are made from natural materials and are a long-term project for the French designer and interior architect.

As a teenager, he developed an interest in drawing before enrolling at the Ecole nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d’art, where he learnt the basics of metal sculpture, before continuing his studies at the Arts décoratifs de Paris. The creation of his own design studio in 2003 marked the beginning of a series of collaborations with leading furniture manufacturers such as Ceccotti, Ligne Roset, Cinna, etc. or luxury brands such as Hermès, Cristalleries Saint-Louis, Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, Puig for Paco Rabanne perfumes, among others.

He was also appointed president of the 17th edition of the Design Parade in Hyères at the Villa Noailles, where he was chosen to present his “Made in Situ” collections. The designer has also recently been invited to reinterpret the emblematic Steinway & Sons grand piano.
