Les Amis du Jeu de Paume’s Annual Dinner Celebrates the Museum’s 20th Anniversary

Every year, Les Amis du Jeu de Paume hold a dinner in the heart of the museum’s exhibition spaces. Collectors, gallery owners, directors of institutions and sponsors of the Jeu de Paume, including Chanel and the Roederer Foundation, were all present for this year’s event, held on March 18th, marking the 20th anniversary of the museum and the Amis du Jeu de Paume association.

The evening programme started with a cocktail reception, followed by a tour of the Tina Modotti exhibition, L’œil de la révolution, and a concert by the Catherine Vincent duo, a tribute to the great Italian photographer and activist. They could also meet and discuss with the French visual artist Bertille Bak, nominated for the Marcel Duchamp Prize 2023. During the dinner, guests enjoyed an exclusive preview of the editions by Stéphane Couturier, Luc Delahaye, Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, Ali Kazma, Susan Meiselas and Valérie Mrejen, produced by Les Amis to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Jeu de Paume, with all proceeds going to support the Jeu de Paume.

The dinner was held in the space hosting Abus de Souffle, Bertille Bak’s exhibition, amidst her artworks. Fabien Joly had arranged magnificent floral arrangements for each table, both brutalist and delicate, echoing the scenography.

As a Jeu de Paume patron, Chanel gifted a bottle of N°5 Eau de Parfum to each guest.

Among the gallery owners, collectors, patrons and art lovers attending the event were Antoine de Galbert, Christopher Miles, Christof Wiesner, Florence Bourgeois, Björn Dalhström, Cécile Verdier, Séverine Waelchli, Tristan Van Der Stegen, Frédéric Rouzaud, Miren Arzalluz, Francis Kurkdjian, Harry Nuriev and Pedro Winter.
