Laffanour / Galerie Downtown Paris and Charles Riva Collection Brussels Introduce LEVEL

We must admit that we particularly appreciate this type of collaboration. An artistic encounter between modern design and the great names of the contemporary art scene organized in two distinct times and places: from March 24 to 29 at the Downtown gallery in Paris, and from April 19 to July 1 at Charles Riva in Brussels. On the one hand, design, with leading figures such as Jean Prouvé, Pierre Jeanneret or Le Corbusier, and some poetic pieces by Korean designer Choï Byung Hoon. On the other, a selection of artworks by contemporary American artists such as Paul McCarthy, Richard Prince or the conceptual figure Christopher Wool. The exhibition thus creates an aesthetic complementarity between the two worlds, under the wise curatorship of François Laffanour and Charles Riva. Through this collaboration, they try to illustrate their common vision of art: the idea of putting forward works of art by contextualizing them, thus creating real living spaces, at the crossroads of interior architecture. At the Paris opening, we met Charles Zana, Hélin Serre, Alexandra Roos, and Laurent Goudchaux.
