Chaumet’s Pop Culture Unveils its Golden Age at Place Vendôme

We all know Chaumet for its emblematic pieces, such as the jewels Napoleon gifted to Joséphine or the historic salons where Frédéric Chopin breathed his last. But did you know that between 1965 and 1985, 12 Place Vendôme was a thriving scene and a major creative hotspot for wild pop culture? The Maison is now embracing the inventive and unrestrained spirit of that time to present an unprecedented exhibition, opening on October 5. The exhibit runs under the artistic direction of the discreet yet brilliant René Morin and features a series of exceptional pieces, each more extravagant than the previous one. On Tuesday 26, the Maison hosted a celebratory evening in the gilded halls of its historic salons, which enveloped these little-known creations in an aura reminiscent of the Pompidou era. After a concert by Cerrone that set the dancefloor ablaze, DJs Irfane and Breakbot kept the disco fans grooving late into the night.
