Cartier Takes Over the Ritz Paris with the Collection “Nature Sauvage”
For Haute Couture Week, Cartier is back to the rotunda next to the gardens of the Ritz to present its haute joaillerie collection. There, guests were able to discover the 24 new pieces through a series of “tableaux vivants” (living pictures), choreographed by the agency “I could never be a dancer” and styled by Ilya Vanzato, Hair&Make’up by Andrey Sebaoun and Alan Antoine.
This proximity to nature has been a theme running through Cartier’s collections for many years. Called “Nature Sauvage” (Wild Nature), this collection drew inspiration from both the flora and the fauna, and the line surprisingly focused on one animal, the tiger. While the panther is part of Cartier’s usual terminology, the tiger is much rarer. His gait, his coat and his musculature are revisited in a precious and unexpected way. Nestled in the crook of your neck, it’s as if you can hear its purr. A feeling that delighted the many celebrities who attended last night’s event, including Fai Khadra, Claire Rose Cliteur, Fanny Bourdette-Donon, Camelia Bourbon, Gaëlle Pietri, Xiayan Guo, Sophia Roe, Alison Toby, Deon Hinton, and Amanda Charchian.
