The DS3 Turned Into a Work of Art by artist Mathias Kiss
On the occasion of the upcoming launch of the E-tense, the new fully electrified version of the DS3, the French carmaker has given carte blanche to artist Mathias Kiss. The underlying idea was to exhibit pieces of the vehicle as works of art, as they would be in an art gallery, at 35/37 in Paris. Starting with the engine, usually invisible, here presented on a pedestal and covered with gold. Then there were the chairs, cast in plaster. Mathias Kiss had drawn small gray veins on them by hand, making them appear to be made of white marble. Last but not least, a tribute was made to the 12 speakers that make up the on-board hifi system: a real listening room broadcasted the compositions of artist Jonathan Fitoussi. At the cocktail party, we ran into Jean Charles de Castelbajac, Pascal Morand, Em Glasser and Diane Pernet.
