K-Way, A Colourful New Start

A blank canvas can stand for the notion of “tabula rasa”, opening up the possibility to write a new story or continue one already begun. But a white canvas can also be used to highlight one particular moment, to underline a concept, which is what K-Way has done for its 2024 autumn-winter collection. It analyses its origins and focuses on one of its hallmarks: colour. The Basicnet brand, then, plays with colour and geometry for this great return to Milan Fashion Week Uomo. The white space, animated only by silhouettes in technical fabrics of the Le vrai 3.0 jackets inflated by the wind and created by the artist Anna Franceschini, leaves room for colour that becomes all over the looks that parade in the Basic Village spaces. Through different nuances, K-Way retraces its history and places at the core of the conversation one of the most loved jackets by a wide public, the Le vrai 3.0, which is multifaceted and thanks to the styling also becomes a skirt. The collection does not just stop with jackets or looks with technical fabrics, but extends with wool, trench coats and padded trousers for looks that can be closed perfectly into a rectangle. Applauding the show, seated in the front row, Mariano di Vaio, Lavinia De Angelis Boglione, Boss Doms, Nic Kaufmann, Caro Daur and many others.
