In Venice Buccellati Rediscovers its Timeless Classics Through an Exhibition Created and Produced by Balich Wonder Studio

The magic of the “classic” is told through a spectacular Buccellati exhibition set up in the spaces of Oficine 800 on the island of Giudecca. It’s ‘The Prince of Goldsmiths, Rediscovering the Classics,’ a tour exploring the legacy, history, and craftsmanship of the Italian maison’s creations. Conceptually designed and produced by Balich Wonder Studio and curated for jewelry and silverware by Alba Cappellieri, the project draws inspiration from the name with which the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio defined Mario Buccellati in 1936, thus confirming his extraordinary mastery in crafting timeless masterpieces. “The Prince of Goldsmiths” is therefore a tribute to a company that, since its founding in 1919, has given life to creations where the past, present, and future merge into one, giving rise to works of hyper-contemporary elegance. The leitmotif of the Venetian exhibition is the rediscovery of classics, objects capable of constantly conveying universal feelings of closeness, wonder, marvel, and passion.

“Classics offer the pleasure of rediscovery, evoking worlds of elegance, art, and nature outside of time,” declared Andrea Buccellati, Creative Director and Honorary President of the Maison. Marco Balich also adds : « It’s been an honor to apply our aesthetic and creativity to the grand history of the Maison, and to revive the Buccellati legacy through a contemporary perspective.”

The illustrious history of Buccellati is unveiled through a series of video installations, spread across 4 rooms, celebrating the masterpieces of Italian classical art. The opening, held concurrently with the opening of the Art Biennale, was a true supershow attended by music stars such as Gloria Gaynor and Mika, as well as members of the global jet set such as Tao Liang, Sophie Poitrinal, Talita Von Fürstenberg, Géraldine Boublil, and Chahan Minassian.
