Gilbert & George Vernissage “London Pictures”
For several years, Gilbert & George collected and compiled the headlines for London tabloids. With the “London Pictures” series, they highlight the recurrent use of certain words, such as “killer”, “sex”, or “boy”. A transfiguration of the problems of modern society, displayed in big letters like a sad fatality, where Gilbert and George wanted to stage themselves, in the background, both spectators and actors of their own story. Dominique Isserman, Diane Pernet, Nathalie Rykiel and Jérôme Sans were at the signature.
