The Fabulous Dinner of the Syndicat National des Antiquaires et Galeries d’Art – in the Nave of the Grand Palais for FAB Paris
The traditional Grand Dîner de Gala organized by the Syndicat National des Antiquaires was a resounding success, kicking off the FAB Paris fair at the Grand Palais on Wednesday, November 20th. 800 guests gathered under the iconic glass roof of one of Paris’s most beautiful historic monuments, for a grand dinner surrounded by exceptional artworks presented by the 100 exhibiting galleries, including 56 SNA members.
An ode to artistic diversity in all its glory, the third edition of FAB Paris is a collaboration between the young Fine Arts Paris art fair and the Biennale des Antiquaires, and takes on a museum-like atmosphere thanks to the hundred or so international art galleries representing 9 different countries. The focus is on Fine Arts, from Antiquity to the present day, with a special emphasis on non-Western art, contemporary art, antique jewelry and even art books and autographs. The event’s regular exhibiting galleries are back, to the delight of visitors, including Applicat Prazan, Didier Aaron, Galerie de la Béraudière, Steinitz and Opera Gallery, but the fair is also renewing its line-up to 25% this year, with newcomers such as Röbbig München, Miriam di Penta and Maurice Verbaet Gallery.
The gala dinner on Wednesday, November 20th, traditionally organized by the Syndicat National des Antiquaires, did full justice to the quality of the artworks on display. Under the majestic glass roof of the Grand Palais, long, elegantly decorated tables were set up in the aisles of the fair, for an unforgettable experience close to the artworks.
In the nave of the Grand Palais, we met Prince Amyn Aga Khan, Becca Cason Thrash, Lorenz Baümer, Nathalie Obadia, Laurent Dassault, Emmanuelle and Jérôme de Noirmont, Pierre Edouard de Souzy, Guillaume Léage, Louis de Bayser and Stéphane Fusella.
