François Azambourg gets carte blanche for Les Amis du Centre Pompidou dinner

After having entrusted the Belgian architect and designer Charles Kaisin with organizing a black-and-white themed dinner last year, the Friends of the Centre Pompidou called on the Frenchman François Azambourg for the artistic direction of the most recent gala dinner. This iconic event annually brings together the biggest personalities from the art world: gallerists Emmanuel Perrotin, Kamel Mennour, Michel Rein, and Thaddaeus Ropac; artists Jean-Michel Othoniel, Christian Boltanski, Rick Owens and Adel Abdessemed; plus important art world figures like Jennifer Flay, Jean de Loisy, Jérôme Sans and Bernard Blistène, as well as the architect Jean Nouvel. Guests arrived along a pathway of red fireflies, which were activated by the escalators’ movement. The table centerpieces were specially created in dialogue with works from the museum’s collections.
