Guerlain: Gold in Every Shape And Form
Gold has been Guerlain’s signature color since its creation in 1828. This timeless, legendary material is as much coveted in the luxury industry as it is in sports. As part of the Cultural Olympiad, gold has taken up summer residence at Maison Guerlain thanks to the photographic exhibition Or Norme.
Curated by Jean-Luc Monterosso and Benoît Baume, sixteen artists are displayed, and with them, as many different techniques. Inlays, gold leaves or ingots: each photographer decorates their prints with delicate golden shimmers. For the occasion, Guerlain also commissioned two exceptional works: a print on glass and 24-carat gold, and a oneiric optical illusion inlaid with gold. The material is reinvented through different perspectives and meanings, for a solar and poetic journey.
During the opening, we met Sami Outalbali, Djanis Bouziani, Natacha Régnier, Ann-Caroline Prazan, Jean-Luc Monterosso, Benoît Baume, Keren Ann, Mademoiselle Agnès, Ludivine Sagnier, Thierry Wasser, Magda Danysz, Cédric Matet, Wiktoria Jedral, Harald Gottschalk, Morvarid K and many others.
